Watch this Video: Paul White explains the appropriation of God’s goodness is a matter of faith and is not based on things we’ve done or not done.
“No one on earth qualifies to be your qualifier. You are either qualified because of the spirit – God is Spirit – He lives in you. He either qualifies you or disqualifies you. So the argument then, is not whether I can disqualify you, but whether God would disqualify you. Ok? What God would deem acceptable and unacceptable. What God would deem approved or disapproved.
… Your whole Christian experience is a walk of faith. It is literally ‘you are dead with Christ’ – 2 Corinthians 5. You’ve already given it up to Him. you don’t possess yourself anymore. You don’t get to make all the decisions. Because you are going up a mountain, in which you’ve already said, ‘I’m laying myself as a living sacrifice before God’. This is already a done deal.
‘Move through me. Work through me. Speak through me – You and I together.‘ It’s not You with a whip smacking me. It’s me having laid out on the alter with Christ, and yet I’m still alive.
Paul would say in Galatians 2:20, ‘I am crucified with Christ, never-the-less I live. Yet its not really I, it’s Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh, I live in the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.’
… Ladies and gentlemen, you are not becoming a living sacrifice. You are a living sacrifice. You are holy! You are acceptable – acceptable to God which is your logical service. It is logical now in Christ for you to live your life as one who has already died.
This is the apex of Christian thinking. If you can get here – and this isn’t a journey … it’s just a journey of faith. I’ve already died spiritually. The old me is already dead. I’m already alive in the new realm. I’m not waiting to die physically so that I can taste heaven. I’ve already grabbed hold of the taste of Heaven … ” – Paul White
12 Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
2 Corinthians 5:16
16 Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer.
21 Jesus *said to her, “Woman, believe Me, an hour is coming when neither in this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. 22 You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. 24 God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
