Theology

The word theology comes from two Greek words:

“theos”, meaning “God”, and
“logos”, meaning “word”.

We believe we are/have been Saved in an instant, in a moment, in a decision. Yet we believe Intimacy with the Lord is an ongoing process moving to deeper and deeper levels; requiring dedication, passion, and the adventurous pursuit to serve the Him. God desires relationship with us! As we grow in intimacy with the Lord, the greater the relationship and revelation. God desires our hearts. In intimacy with The Father realized through the leading of The Holy Spirit, we die to ourselves and find Life in Christ.

Our Common Foundational Truths

There is only one true God, eternally one being in three persons, The Holy Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

The Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, and still God continues to speak to us today.

The Lord Jesus Christ, the one and only Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin, Mary. He was crucified for our sins, died, was buried, resurrected and ascended into heaven, and is now alive today, in the presence of God the Father and in His people. He is “true God” and “true man.”

Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection provides the justification for our eternal salvation and we receive this gift by grace through faith, and not by any of our own works.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever and that His ministry in and through the church by the Holy Spirit has not changed from the beginning. We seek all of the biblical gifts and ministries of the Holy Spirit to accomplish God’s Plan. We believe in the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ to take authority and rule on earth.
